The AskGL command list, explained without jargon

A launch week does not need eighteen tabs. It needs the right artifact each day — hero, world, street, mark, then the file that can still change.

Open AskStart with what AskGL is

There are eighteen live AskGL commands. You will not use eighteen on Monday.

You will use the one that matches the next file someone is waiting for. This is that week, in order. The table at the end is the pocket map. The week is how you remember it.

Rasters finish in the Image Editor. Layouts, type, and files finish in the Design Editor. /audio has no editor host. /presentation and /document are local-only: editable files, not pictures of files.

If you want the idea first, read What AskGL is. The picture at the top is one of the week’s files — a poster with a reserved field, not a paragraph of adjectives.

Monday: one thing people can want

The drop needs a hero. One object. One light. If the file is honest, the page can go up.

Design an unbranded teal running shoe hero image on a warm orange sculptural set with accurate materials, crisp studio light, and no readable text or logos.

A restaurant week looks the same, with a plate instead of a shoe.

Design a photorealistic restaurant dish hero of sesame noodles in a ceramic bowl with herbs, window light, and a linen table. No readable text or logos.

/asset is the cousin when the thing is a useful raster that is not trying to be a poster or a logo. It is not a brand system. If you mean a photograph of a shoe, stay on /image.

Do not use Monday’s command for five matching frames. That is Tuesday.

Tuesday: a world that does not change clothes

The story team wants four beats. Same child. Same moth. Same night. One pretty frame would not finish the brief.

Build four consistent moon-garden story scenes with the same child, moth guide, palette, and environment, with no readable text or logos.

$count:4 is the job. “A few options” is not. If the captions still need to move, Tuesday was actually /carousel — an editable slide set, finished in the Design Editor. The long version of this split is When to use /image instead of /images. How the slides stay editable is How /carousel stays a set you can still edit.

/video is Tuesday if the result must move. Say duration and aspect. Do not ask /video for a thumbnail — that job is a thumbnail, not a poster. /audio is the voiceover after /write has the words. Do not narrate a script you have not written. Models stay @promptha.* inside the command; pick a route only when the speed or look matters, and leave it out when Promptha should choose. See AskGL models.

Wednesday: the street

The work leaves the studio. It has to live on a wall, a stall, a profile, a feed. The visual can be loud. The facts cannot be final.

Design a bold night-market campaign visual with indigo paper texture, coral light trails, food-stall silhouettes, and a reserved cream copy field.

The cream field is the product. The event name comes later.
The cream field is the product. The event name comes later.

A flyer is a poster that owes people a date, a place, a price. Those facts already exist. Do not ask the model to invent an opening time.

Design a bakery grand-opening flyer with loaves on linen, morning window light, and a large empty cream rectangle reserved for later facts. No readable text, prices, dates, or logos.

Try this in Ask

Forget the empty field and you get a picture of marketing — letters nobody can trust:

Baked flyer copy. This is a raster, not a flyer you can still edit.

A banner is wider and quieter. A stall header. A booking strip. Not a poster cropped sideways.

Design a summer makers-market banner with outdoor stalls, plants, and ceramics, plus a long empty cream strip reserved for later words. No readable text or logos.

Try this in Ask
Leave a strip. Write the market name in the editor.

/thumbnail is the small cover. It has to read at a glance. It is not a poster and not a carousel slide.

Photograph hands shaping clay on a pottery wheel, tight crop, strong contrast, a small empty cream bar reserved for a later title. No readable text, logos, play button, or fake UI.

Try this in Ask

When the model fills the bar with invented letters, you have the reason titles stay native:

Invented title on a thumbnail. Keep the real words in the Design Editor.
Invented title on a thumbnail. Keep the real words in the Design Editor.

The long version of the street jobs is poster, flyer, or banner. The small cover is a thumbnail, not a poster.

Thursday: the mark

Someone asks for “a logo vibe.” That is how you get a campaign, a sticker sheet, and a paragraph of fake type.

/logo is one mark. /icon is a pictogram that survives a small size. /vector is a graphic you can keep editing — a pattern, a diagram — not a photograph pretending to be simple. The long version is /vector vs /icon vs /logo.

Design a simple geometric logo mark for a neighborhood repair cafe: a wrench and a leaf combined into one abstract emblem. Flat color, cream background, no letters or numbers.

Try this in Ask

The emblem is the job. If letters appear, they are not your name.

A wrench and a leaf. Extra letters are not the brand.
A wrench and a leaf. Extra letters are not the brand.

Finish marks in the Design Editor. Do not let Thursday become a new identity system you did not ask for.

Friday: the file that can still change

The week ends with things people will rewrite. Scripts. Tables. A deck for the room. A playbook for the team.

  • /write — words you will keep editing as words. Not a picture of a paragraph.
  • /table — rows and columns. Not a screenshot of a spreadsheet.
  • /json — a structured handoff for a program, not a page. No editor host.
  • /presentation — a deck you can still rewrite. Local-only.
  • /document — the playbook, planner, ebook interior. Local-only. A designed cover is not the document.

If flattening the file would destroy Monday’s next edit, Friday belongs in the Design Editor.

Three questions if the week gets noisy:

  1. One thing or a set? Still, world, or slides — /image, /images, /carousel.
  2. Must the words stay editable? Then do not bake them.
  3. Mark, page, or picture of a thing? /logo, /poster, /image.

This is not a ranking page for every job. Queries rank those jobs. This is the language. Do not invent a nineteenth command. Models are @promptha.* inside the command — see AskGL models.

Then go back to Monday’s file. Open Ask and name the next one.

Frequently asked questions

How many AskGL commands are there?

Eighteen. They are the live artifact commands in the product contract. Do not invent extra slash commands.

Which commands stay editable after they generate?

/carousel, /poster, /flyer, /banner, /write, /table, /presentation, and /document are meant to stay working files. /image and /images are rasters you finish in the Image Editor.

What does local-only mean for /presentation and /document?

Those commands produce editable files on the Design Editor path. They are not flattened pictures of a deck or a book.

What AskGL is, in plain English

You do not need another chat. You need the shoe, the story, or the poster — named in the first word, then finished.

When to use /image instead of /images

One hero can carry a landing page. A story needs a world. /image and /images look like a typo. They are two different Fridays.

AskGL

/poster, /flyer, or /banner: which one do you actually need?

They all look like graphics. They fail in different rooms. A wall, a handout, and a stall header are three AskGL jobs.
